Eric Heim Dental is a Saginaw Township practice built on a foundation that's anything but ordinary. Dr. Eric Heim grew up right here in the Tri-Cities area, attended Delta College and the University of Michigan for his undergraduate studies, and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 2013. Before opening his own doors, he spent six years serving as a dentist in the United States Navy — two of those years aboard the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, a nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, where he delivered dental care under demanding conditions that sharpened both his clinical skill and his ability to put patients at ease in any circumstance.
After his service, Dr. Heim worked as an associate dentist in Bay City before making the decision to invest in his hometown community by purchasing his own practice in Saginaw Township. That decision wasn't just professional — it was personal. Dr. Heim is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine, a credential held by a select group of dentists nationwide, reflecting his commitment to continuing education and specialist-level expertise well beyond general dentistry.

Dr. Heim is married to Lauren, a second-grade teacher at a local Catholic school, and together they are deeply embedded in the fabric of this community. Eric Heim Dental is led by Dr. Eric Heim, DDS — a University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry graduate, six-year United States Navy dentist, and Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine (DABDSM). The DABDSM credential places Dr. Heim among a nationally recognized group of dentists with advanced training in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep-related breathing disorders, a specialty that complements his full-service general and cosmetic dentistry practice. His clinical background spans high-pressure shipboard dentistry aboard the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower to private practice in the Saginaw area — a range of experience that translates directly into calm, confident, and thorough care for every patient who walks through the door.
